New Theological College is a Christian educational and training institution (theological, ministerial, and leadership training) located in Dehradun in the serene Devbhumi of India—a land famed for hills and valleys of the Himalayas, the famous rivers Ganga and Yamuna, pilgrim centers like Haridwar and Rishikesh as well as a rich tapestry of cultural and spiritual diversity. Fascinating history and intriguing mythology meet at the crossroads of this beautiful land. Dehradun stands as a testament to the harmonious coexistence of multiple religious traditions and cultures, epitomizing the essence of India. 

At the New Theological College, we stand apart by embracing a profound belief: rather than the path of renunciation, we celebrate the importance of annunciation and living out God’s mission (missio Dei) in Christ. As Indian Christians, we take pride in our heritage tracing back to the Apostle Thomas, a disciple of Christ, who first arrived in the northwest and later to the south of India in the first century. Indian Christianity holds a lineage as ancient as the earliest Christian communities in Jerusalem, Syria, Asia, Greece, and Rome. Understanding and embracing this heritage brings pride and joy to all Indians.
